a weekend away

Our weekend has been quite relaxing. We took off to our normal place and stayed a night. A day away from the bustling city life certainly has brought back some energy that we've been looking for. It also gave us more family time. The little one had his fair share of play time as well too. Well it was a well spent weekend for all three of us :)
A lot of things are currently playing in my mind, nothing personal but more of looking for a certain direction that i want to head towards. I guess it's also because of the current economic situation that makes people think and re-think of a lot of things. I do wonder, when would this downturn end? one year? two years? *sigh* it's quite unpredictable. Well life still goes on, so we would have to make the best out of the worst. :)

On a brighter note, I love the 2 pictures above, my little one was looking out, looking for something... and he's becoming more and more verbal. We brought him down to the park and he walked around... pointing at the flowers and telling me those were flowers... :) He's growing up so fast, his daddy says.. "he looks like a big boy now"
Sweetheart.. mummy and daddy loves you

a time out

I've been so tied up with a lot of things at the current moment.. and also have been a little lazy.. so that's the reason for the lack of postings... I'll have to push myself to do more postings and updates...

The little one has grown quite a fair bit. He's now running round the house... picking up everything that he sees on the floor.. and everything that he lay his eyes on. He's been growing and eating quite a fair bit too.. :) and we've moved him into his little bed... Sometimes he can be a little over the moon but on the overall, he's just my little cheeky boy.. :)

*sigh* i still cannot imagine that he's already one... time do fly by very very fast these days..

Aidan turns ONE!

My little baby turned ONE on the 15th of March... but we had his party on the 14th instead. The theme of the party was little ducks, coz the little one loves his rubber duckies. The party was such a hit, with everyone wearing little duckie badges, and duckie decorations everywhere, and to top it off, we had a wonderful and amazing duckie cake made by my godma.
The little fella had his first cake, well he had cake in his face and in his nose and on his body on his shirt. But it was really a sight to remember.

TO all my wonderful guests, thank you so much for being a part of our party and also a part of our lives, Aidan boy is very very lucky to have all of you in his life. I will always remind him that the people in his life are very very important to him.

here's my thank you list:
Darling... thank you for everything
Mom and dad... thank you for helping me out in everything
aunty mummy.. thank you for the wonderful cake
aunty geen nee.. thank you for the yummy jellies
aunty geen neo... thank you for the " sio keng"

To look back at the pictures, it brings tears to my eyes, one year ago, I was waiting anxiously in the hospital for the arrival of the little one, and in one year, i've seen him grow... he learned to turn over, to crawl, to stand and now, he's already walking and running around the house. The little one has also started to call "papa", "mama", " mum-mum" and his latest word, "flower"

To my little sweetheart, mummy and daddy loves you to bits and we have had the most wonderful year with you. To see you grow every second, is the most memorable thing in our lives. You have made all our lives brighten up and you certainly have made our lives an adventure.. Happy 1st birthday baby.. :)

a wet weekend

Besides all the rain... we did get a little sunshine... I took the little one to visit his grandparents on saturday and well he enjoyed his time there. The little fella has a thing for water... he loves to play with water... my dad taught the little fella to wash his hands in a small little blue pail, so everytime he fell down, or touch the dog his grandpa would tell him and bring him to the little pail. After a while... he pretended to fall and walk to the pail himself.. and started splashing around. soon enough, his shirt was all wet, and so was his pants... so to keep his cloths from getting wet.... well we let him play with water in his diapers... Needless to say.. everything was WET... and he did enjoy himself. I'm now thinking if i should have the waddling pool up during his birthday... he'll end up jumping into it.. *sigh*

Aidan boy's birthday is in a week's time.. and i'm trying to get everything ready in time... i'm excited... hahahaha.. really really excited...
